Books about the Massage StyleAt the moment, there are no books dedicated to Fijian Massage. Fijian Massage does rate a paragraph of content in Robert Noah Calvert's The History of Massage: An Illustrated Survey from Around the World. On page 23, he writes: "In the Fiji Islands massage is also performed on the naked skin using coconut oil. It has been a family tradition for as long as anyone can remember. In Fiji a kind of foot massage is used where the practitioner doesn't stand on the recipient but instead uses his or her feet while standing at the side of the recipient. The practitioner also sits on the floor and uses his or her feet, especially the heel, to work the recipient's body from head to toe." This passage isn't footnoted to a particular source. The style Lolita teaches is without oil, and is clothed. But the foot massage description above is exactly what she teaches. Books for Context on FijiEthnography and Anthropological Articles
The above two sources mention massage quite a bit, though not at a "how to do it" level. I have also tracked down a long list of ethnographies of Fiji that I am presenting on a separate page.
