Lotions and Massage Oils

If you would like to use some of the products I use in my practice at home, here's where you can get them.

Natural Formulations is a small Skokie, IL based company. They produce a variety of paraben-free products.

MCL Ultra-Glide Massage Creme Lotion - This is a satiny lotion that has a lot of grip. I use it because it doesn't interfere with techniques like myofascial release that work poorly when the hand slides too much over the skin. Has extracts of chamomile, cat's claw, arnica, white willow bark. Essential oils: clary sage, bergamot (with photosensitizers removed), cinnamon leaf oil (not cinnamon bark oil which is an irritant)

Renewal Blend Nourishing Massage Oil - A blend of grapeseed, hempseed and jojoba oils with vitamins A & E, avocado oil and evening primrose oil, all working together to renew the skin and muscles at a cellular level. This blend contains essential fatty acids and free radical scavengers to slow aging and bring new life to the skin's cells.

Tea Tree Foot Creme - A thick creme with superior glide that uses the anti-microbial properties of tea tree oil to sanitize the foot. Enhanced with natural eucalyptus and peppermint oils for a refreshing aroma.

Rosemary Foot Spray - An alcohol based refreshing spray with fractionated coconut oil, rosemary oil, tea tree oil, menthol, arnica extract and cat's claw extract.

Hand Sanitizing Gel kills 99.9% of germs but is not alcohol based, so not so drying to the hands.

Essential Oil Blends

Nature's Gift Aromatherapy Products is my favorite source for essential oils. Tennessee-based, and started by Marge Clark. Marge's focus is Clinical Aromatherapy, and using the oils appropriately and with respect for their power. Nature's Gift offers a suite of products laboratory tested to be effective against MRSA.

Muscle Ease Massage Oil A unique massage blend for overworked muscles. A blend of pain relieving oils, Lavandin, Ginger, and Eucalyptus.

SineEase Facial Massage Oil - This soothing blend of Sweet Basil, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, and Lavender designed to relieve sinus pain and congestion. Available as Facial Massage Oil (in pure Jojoba base) and Synergy for inhalation. Nature's Gift's guinea pigs found this precise balance of ingredients wonderful at easing sinus headaches. The facial massage oil can be rubbed into the cheek bones and eyebrows. The massage oil is also available in a roller ball dispenser and plastic inhaler.

Essential Oil Contraindications - Concentrated oils are very strong, and just because a product is natural doesn't mean that it's harmless. This is a great list of medical conditions that warrant avoiding some oils.
